Site upgrade done!
Tuesday, 13 July 2010 13:00
During the last 24 hours we updated the LimeService website. If you experienced problems during that time we apologize for the inconvenience. The site should be back to normal now - if you find any problems please let us know immediately.

We are moving! or: Scheduled downtimes!
Thursday, 29 April 2010 15:58
To be honest: The LimeService headquarters will stay in Hamburg/Germany - just our servers will move from a smaller server center into a high-availability and 24-hour-service server center in Germany. The problem with this is that because the servers are physically moving we have to schedule two downtimes - one for the LimeService website and one for the LimeService customer installations.

  •  May 4th 8:30 pm to May 5th 5:30 am UTC: The LimeService main website (http://www.limeservice.com) along with the LimeSurvey website (http://www.limesurvey.org) will be down.  All customer installations will still be available and people will be able to participate in your surveys. Since you are not capable of buying additional responses during that time no installations will be locked  even if they run out of available responses - however reminders will be sent anyway. After the main website is back the according lock procedures will be put back in place on May 5th 14:30 UTC.
  • May 25th 8:30 pm to May 26th 5:30 am UTC: All customer installations will be down during that time and people won't be able to participate in your surveys. We strongly recommend to let your participants know in advance or schedule your survey to start after that downtime. We are very sorry for this service disruption but there is currently no other way to move the servers.
Thank you for your understanding. If you have any questions about one of these events please don't hesitate to open a support ticket in your support tracker.

LimeService now uses fancy URLs
Thursday, 29 April 2010 14:58

Many of you may have already noticed. We activated Fancy URLs for all 1.87+ LimeSurvey installations last week. Fancy URLs are shortening the invitation link considerably, for example links now instead of

http://example.limequery.com/index.php?sid=12345&lang=de&token=ertoiuy2f

look like

http://example.limequery.com/12345/lang-de/tk-ertoiuyf

now!

A great thing is that the old URL will still work without problems. If you have sent invitations or still link the old survey URL from somewhere it will work as before.
